Fabric line is Happy Go Lucky by Bonnie and Camille. The pattern is called The Stars in Mama's Kitchen by Darlene Zimmerman, free pattern is here.
The quilt measures 72"x72". I add more blocks than original pattern :))
I did some cross hatching in the middle and some stippling FMQ on the borders.
And a couple of Lacy Waves Ponchos
I bought this pattern a few years ago and have knitted many of them. When I feel I need to finish something quick after knitting some lacy shawls using 2ply yarn using 2.75mm needle with a thousand something yards of yarn, I always go back to this poncho. So quick to knit. This poncho is knitted using 80%Bamboo 20%Marino Wool on 8mm circular needles :)
Linking up with Richard and Tanya Quilts and Friday Finish at crazy mom quilts
Your quilt is beautiful and the ponchos are absolutely gorgeous! I wished I lived nearby so you could teach me to knit those ponchos.
ReplyDeleteYour stars are looking lovely. A great finish.
ReplyDeleteThank you Frances :)
DeleteI love your star quilt! Is the pattern I could buy online somewhere? Rcoyle at olemiss dot edu
ReplyDeleteThe pattern is here: http://www.robertkaufman.com/quilting/quilts_patterns/?page=21
DeleteAnd it's free to download. I'd like to see what fabric line you would use :)
Are those HSTs as small as they look? Great quilt!
ReplyDeleteHSTs are 2 1/2" square unfinished. I thought about not adding that border but I'm glad I pieced them all. They're so cute :)
