Night Sky Quilt Top

Pattern: Julie Herman
Fabric: Kaffee Fessett's Short Cootton
Size: 70" x 89"

And a few more Park Bench Blocks

These two are block-number 5 called Festival

This one is block-number 8, Stroll
not so happy with the outside triangles, not all of them end up on straight-grain on the edge of the block. I will have to plan better next time : P

I have been sewing these blocks with a friend. We have the blocks cut out and ready to sew before our sewing day, which we do once a month :))

some work in progress

This pattern is called Night Sky by Julie Herman at Jaybird Quilts. Fabric I'm using is  Kaffe Fassett's short cotton range.

This is another one of Jaybird Quilts pattern, called Park Bench.
I'm so loving using 'hex and more'  and 'sidekick' rulers, possibilities are endless!

These blocks are apart of my on-going BOM, Kaleidoscope of Kolor, at Quintessential quilt shop. It's been going so fast, I'm already on month #9 so not long to go :))

My BOM work in progress

I singed up for A Kaleidoscope of Kolor BOM at local quilt shop, Quintessential Qults, back in November last year.

I'm being ambitious and trying to do tow quilts at the same time, one with chocolate-brown background and another with homespun background (fabrics for this one is from my statsh). Blocks above are from 'month one', which is the center block.

These are from 'month two'. Top right-hand corner block is wrong but I have fixed it :P

Hopefully I'll get 'month three' blocks done before the next one comes!

Triple Star and another Summer Breeze

First up is Triple Star by Kim Brackett (Scrap-Basket Beauties Book)
Fabric: Hapi by Amy Butler

I love this fabric line. I may have chose the background a tat-dark?? But can't do much about it now.
I put in a bit of The Alexander Henry blue xmas fabric collection.
Right now I'm contemplating adding sashing or not??

Summer Breeze #2

I made one like this last year with kona white background, post is here. I just love this pattern, called Summer Breeze by Mellisa Corry at Happy Quilting.

Now just have to join the blocks then sew the rows together :)

Mug-Bag

This is my my mug-bag which I take to my quilting groups. It looks very sad and worn! Long over due to update!!

Since I can't continue cut/sew with  Happy Go Lucky star quilt, I thought I make myself a new mug-bag with Happy Go Lucky scraps (left over 1 1/2" from small sashing stars)

I love this little stitchery. He is sooo cute.

It has a pocket for tea/coffee bag.

These Matilda's Own circles come in handy. 3 1/2" circle is perfect to cut out base pieces.

And my Christmas canister is handy to place and pin the base on to gathered bottom of bag :)

After stitching the base on to the bag, I just need some strings and a couple of beads to finish it off. Tomorrow I'll be off to my quilting group all prettied up with my new Mug-Bag :)

Happy stitch/quilt/knit :)
