I love the stars and bought this pattern as a kit, but batiks are a bit too bright for a baby quilt.

This quilt is going to one of my kids' pregnant teacher. 

Westword Journey #1 is nearly done, just have to hand sew the binding.

Fabrics are from my stash. I fmq stippling all over.

These rabbits are the cutest! but the pictures don't do any justice.

I'm running out to find backing today to finish it. Another one for my kids' teacher. The baby is already here, she was born a couple of weeks ago, so I'm running a bit late.

Bendy Bags

I finally made the Bendy Bags by Lazy Girl Designs.

Really enjoyed making them. I also bought her new class, Zippered Bags With a Twist: One Zip Way, so I'll be making Sweetpea Pods with leftover triangles form these Bendy Bags.

Classes by Lazy Girls Designs are so awesome. The instructions are so clear to follow and lots of tips and tricks learnt along the way. I highly recommend her classes. 

I used iron-on pellon for the solid coloured bags, but for the printed fabric Bendy Bag I used pellon peltex 1sided fusible. The bag sits much butter with peltex :)

Westward Journey

Work in progress for this week:

a couple of Westward Journey (free pattern at McCall's Quilting) quilt tops.

One is for my hubby's friend's son and the other is for a 21st birthday.

Disappearing 9 patch

My very 1st disappearing nine patch is finished!

This is a charity quilt, fabrics and wadding are donated to our quilting group.

I will take it to the group today so the ladies can hand sew the binding :)
